1
Post-Surgical Rehabilitation
Post-surgical rehabilitation services are critical for restoring function, reducing pain, and accelerating recovery after surgery. These services are tailored to the type of surgery and individual patient needs. Post-surgical rehabilitation involves pain management, and safely rebuilding strength, flexibility, mobility, and endurance.

Kiera McDuff has experience helping patients recover after hip and knee replacement surgeries, back surgeries, gastro-intestinal surgeries, and other operations.
2
Seniors' Health
Physiotherapy services for seniors' health are focused on optimizing independence, reducing the risk of injury and falls, and improving quality of life in older adults. These services address the natural effects of aging as well as age-related health conditions such as arthritis, osteoporosis, stroke, and balance disorders.

Common goals of physiotherapy for older adults include:
-
Maintain independence in daily tasks (e.g., bathing, dressing, cooking)
-
Prevent falls and hospitalizations
-
Manage chronic conditions
-
Promote mental well-being through active engagement
-
Support aging in place at home or in assisted living

Kiera McDuff has extensive experience working with older adults with a wide range of health challenges.
3
Prehab
Prehab is a proactive approach where a physiotherapist helps a patient prepare physically and mentally for upcoming surgery or a medical treatment (such as cancer treatment). The goal is to enhance strength, mobility, and endurance before surgery, so the body is in the best possible shape to handle the stress of the procedure and recover faster.

Benefits of prehab include:
-
Faster post-op recovery
-
Reduced complication risk
-
Shorter hospital stays
-
Improved surgical outcomes
-
Better pain tolerance and mobility after surgery
-
Greater confidence and mental preparedness
-
Improved functional outcomes and independence post-op

Kiera McDuff has experience helping patients optimize their physical fitness and overall preparedness for cancer treatments and a range of surgeries.
4
Neurorehabilitation
Neurorehabilitation can help individuals recover from or manage physical impairments caused by neurological conditions. These conditions affect the brain, spinal cord, and peripheral nerves, often leading to issues with movement, coordination, balance, strength, and function. Neurorehab may involve motor relearning, balance and coordination training, mobility training, and functional rehabilitation.

The main goal of neurorehab physiotherapy is to restore or maintain independence, optimize quality of life, and promote the best possible recovery of motor function. Neurorehab is often a long-term process, especially for progressive conditions (such as Parkinson's).
Kiera has experience working with patients post-stroke, traumatic brain injury, and with Parkinson's, among other neurological conditions.
